SBIP using ICT gadgets

I got an opportunity to cluster based in-service programme for the duration of Three days on School Art Education for primary level. At the end of workshop  we were asked by the facilitator of the workshop to conduct SBIP back at school. I then internally prepared a plan  to conduct SBIP using different ICT gadgets.

On 20th September 2019  I send a notice to all my colleagues that we are going to have SBIP on Art Education for all the teaching and non- teaching staff. It was especially aimed for the teachers who were teaching lower primary (PP-III). I fixed over head projector in our MPH hall. I also requested them to be present with their cell phone. When I came across few of my colleagues before the commencement of SBIP, they were excited and were asking me the purpose of cell phones but I didn’t reveal and left them under curiosity.

I found that projectors help to transfer information quickly. It also varies the technique of delivering the information and more effective than using chalk and chalk board. I could use short clips, slides and images with various animations. The projector also helped me to make pictures and clips instantly available to the floor

I used the cell phone to do various activities which was assigned to the staff with the use of Bluetooth, Share it and we-chats. I could feel that all of them were fully engaged during the course of my presentation. The participants were also curiously browsing for the answers using their cell phones  and  came out with different solutions. Overall my SBIP was appreciated by all the participants.  “Preaching  a  teacher, it multiplies to thousands classrooms”

  2. It is good that you have use ICT to deliver your lesson. I feel if we make student to explore by themselves it would be worth learning for students. Most of use usually talk about how we are using ict in the class to deliver the lesson and not much focus is given to how students will be learning using ict by themselves. Thats my feelings la.
